Kewra water (Asian)

An essence extracted from pandanus flowers of a screw pine tree. Kewra water is used to flavour in savoury rice dishes such as biriyani or in a korma. It is often used in desserts for example: rice pudding (kheer).

This essence can be bought in most Asian grocery stores.
